Freaknik is back!… and them booty levels is risin’!
Freaknik was a black festival held annually in Atlanta. For pretty much all of the 90′s Freaknik was a place for black college student to gather for spring break. Freaknik was brought to a tragic end in 1999 because of increased police presence to combat the violence and to maintain crowd control.
Well anyway Freaknik came back last weekend.
Earlier this year T-pain partnered with Adult swim and several other high profile rappers to produce “Freaknik the Musical“. The show is very funny. I think this is what inspired people to organize another Freaknik.
April 17 was chosen and many people flocked to Atlanta expecting parties in the streets and clubs.
Needless to say the police presence was large and subdued many of the would be partiers. PEople came expecting concerts and partying and were disappointed to find small groups gathering of people just standing around.
Overall Freaknik was a BUST!
